Joshua Tree National Park

Hard to believe after spending a month in the desert heat last summer that we would want to go back again so quickly, but here we are!  This time, though, we'll be hitting the desert during peak season.  High temperatures should only be in the low 80's, and the spring wildflowers are sure to be in bloom.  We're planning to camp for a couple nights before taking a backpacking trip into the desert.  I'm packing my binoculars and field guide and hoping to add a few life list species along the way.
