The Long Trail runs along the Green Mountains in Vermont from the Massachusetts border to the Canadian Border. In all it is 273 miles. A thru-hike on the Long Trail is called an end-to-end hike. We hiked the southern 105 miles of the trail in the summer of 2012, from Williamstown to US 4. We plan to return in 2014 to hike from US 4 to Smuggler's Notch, and then in 2015 to finish it to the Candian Border. When we finish it we'll get our names listed in a registry that still has less than 4,000 people in it. Pretty cool.
